Squarez Puzzle

Quote:
Update: NeilR has created a 3.xx kernel version and the download has now been updated to include it

I told you it was coming, and I'm happy to annouce the release of Squarez: Puzzle. This game was intented to be included with a later version of the popular PSP homebrew Squarez but never saw the light of day beyond its beta production and releases. As a beta tester I've been holding onto the game for 3 years now and have decided that it is the right time to release it as Socals, the developer, has disappeared since 2006. Why should the two beta testsers hang on to the game when the entire community can benefit from Socals's creation.

So what's Squarez: Puzzle about? It's simple. Do you recall all those puzzle games in adventure games where you must move blocks that are blocking your way in a dungeon? You are stuck in the game surrounded by block walls and must escape by moving each block and reach the goal. Some blocks can only be moved once, some can be moved multiple times and some can't be moved at all. It should keep you occupied for a while so enjoy!

Note: Please read the readme.txt file that is accompanied with the download (attached to this post)

Asterz Version 1.1

After a few tip offs by some fellow Asterz users, as well as some extensive bug testing done by me, I've come across several bugs present in the recently released Version 1 of Asterz. So naturally, after squashing these bugs, and even adding a new useful feature, Asterz Version 1.1 is now out for you guys to download.

Asterz is an almost professional-like PSP homebrew developed by yours truly. It is a space shooter, with gameplay influenced by the hit arcade classic "Asteroids" originally made by Atari. It makes use of the official PSPGU making for a unique homebrew experience. What that means is that this game is entirely 3d, and even makes use of GU lighting - something that is virtually unseen in PSP homebrews.

Version 1.1 sports several bug fixes, as well as a brand new high score saver. Your Arcade Mode high scores will now be saved! Yay! Check out the changelog for all of the details.

* Fixed a game compromising bug
* Fixed Arcade Mode. Enemies would stop coming after you reached a score of 10000
* Fixed Level 10 from continuing on even if your ship died, thus allowing you to beat the game even if you were dead
* Increased difficulty of Arcade Mode slightly
* Added a high score saver for Arcade Mode
* Changed eboot icon

Wagic v0.6.0 Graphic Mod and Complete Set

Wagic is a clone of the card game Magic the Gathering. You can play against an ai opponent, build decks, etc as you would in the real game. This game is still a work in progress as it currently supports "officially" about 15 sets of Magic cards, so that means there is still plenty of more work to be done as there are a ton more sets to be supported in the future. The official release by Wololo does not have any MTG references such as images, so as to avoid conflict from WoC.

Here is a link to the official download: link

Below you will find a rethemed version of the game that also includes all of the card images needed for the game. Without this stuff, the game would really be Magic. I included the above link as a courtesy to the dev, what you really want is below.

The "Real Magic" Theme set:

The rest of the theme set falls within changing the in game graphics. Look below for some screens and images to see what is included.

+ Removed Swinging W
+ Replaced menu icons with MTG mana symbols from original Wagic release
+ Replaced menu screen and title with 2 options for Magic looking goodness
+ Replaced card backs with official MTG card backs
+ Replaced Shop image
+ Replaced avatars for you and opponents with characters from the MTG universe.

Menu Changes:

Shop Background:

Replacement Avatars:

Below you will find the download for Wagic v0.6.0 that has the graphics changes from the "Real Magic" set already in place and has all of the officially supported card sets also already in place. It also includes the replacement eboot that adds the background screen logo in your PSP menu. No need for you to do anything else, but install and enjoy the full "Wagic" experience.

PSPLBreakout2

PSPLBreakout2

Quote:
LBreakout2 is one of the works of Michael Speck. It is a brick-busting. However, it proposes a number of bonus (and penalty) interesting. As you destroy bricks, bonuses fall slowly. Green, they will give you benefits (bar wider explosive ball, wall ball, preventing the fall in the bottom of the screen, bonus points, extra ball, etc.).. In red, you will be dropped (sometimes physically because the bar can be shortened when you're in the dark, the ball starts bouncing unexpectedly, etc..). Beware of bricks hit of question marks, the surprise is not always pleasant. Read the manual for all bonus-malus.

iPong

Mexican developer Tanos has released a new homebrew game for the Neo Summer Coding contest, iPong. The reinvented pong has multiplayer functions and a new way of playing the game. You can also choose your own skins to be on this game. Just
name all the images exactly the same way as the ones in GFX/ProjectP. Introduce your images in any Skin Slot, placed in the game root. Open Activate.txt and change the 0 for a 1. Now the game should recognize your skin. You can have up to 5 skins at the same time.

Mega Drops 2

Quote:
Presentation :
Mega Drops 2 is a musical puzzle game, successor of Mega Drops.
The basics of the gameplay haven't changed:
A pair of blocks fall in a grid, and you have to place it so that 4 or more blocks of the same shape collide and explode. Lines appear from the ground and the goal is to resist until the end of the music.
To the old "normal" and "combo" blocks I added "shielded" and "joker" blocks, and new gameplay elements specific to each level so that they play differently.
I made 3 very different new levels, each available in 3 or 4 difficulty modes.
Other new thing appart the hundreds of bugs corrected and other little improvements: scores. Best scores and best combos are saved for each level (no online score for the moment, but it's on my todo list!)
Obviously, gfx are way better than in Mega Drops 1, because there is no more 4 colors limit.
Quote:
How to play :
left/right : move the block to the left/right
down : blocks fall faster
L/R : teleport blocks as far as possible to the left/right through obstacles
X/O : rotate blocks
start : pause
select : screenshot, saved in the game folder under "./screens/"
X (menu) : selection
[ ] (menu) : cancel
A tutorial is available in the game to teach you the basics.
